Should be an interesting note tomorrow on the third quarter labor cost index. Because of this the numbers could impact stock prices on Thursday and Friday.

Labor cost statistics from prior quarters were large factors in the two rate moves this year by Alan Greenspan and his board of governors.

Increased labor costs are an indication of inflationary pressure in the economy. If those costs are rising it would increase the likelihood of an interest rate increase at the November meeting of the Federal Reserve. A bad report would hurt stock prices, especially interest rate sensitive stocks with high P/E ratios.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for a good report.
