IMO yes it is happening now. I think laws of the land or laws of free market will be changed to accommodate those
who now rule. What is manipulation to-day will be law tomorrow. Not sure about this but wasn't currency manipulation frowned upon at one time in history.
Bombs kill people but money ( power ) controls and rules people. IMF a good example.
