From a Research Report this morning:

EPS (FY Dec): 1999E US$1.55, 2000E US$1.80 - Recommended List

* Unisys unveiled its e-business strategy yesterday at the company's first high profile event in years. The strategy appears sound and should help position Unisys to participate in the shift in corporate IT spending to
e-business areas. Although there wasn't anything to cause estimates to rise, this is a critical first step in helping accelerate services (and thus firmwide) revenue growth. The near-term challenge will be for Unisys to manage the re-organization of its salesforce, but should also strengthen the company's ability to cross sell its services into its large installed base of mainframe customers and thus accelerate revenue growth. There are no changes in our estimates or RL rating.

* Management sounded a positive note on Q4 hardware, indicating that it has essentially met its order target for the current quarter.

* Management will discuss the reorganization of its salesforce in mid-November. It hopes to hire a senior manager to oversee much of the services business by late next month.
