Justa, I've only got 1 other call to listen to today, so I may listen to the Inacom one. I suspect there's not much news there. (I guess I have to listen to find out.) IBM 2 quarters ago confessed that their PC business had cost them nearly $1B. To blame their current PC sector woes on Y2K is a little disingenuous. I can see the poor slob managing that division as he's about to confess his failings to Lou G. The pressure to find an external cause to blame must be absolutely enormous. The only other option is to blame one's staff. After that doesn't fix the problem, one can only blame oneself while on the way out the door. In a nutshell, I don't believe that the CEOs are getting accurate feedback from staff that haven't the competence to successfully compete against the direct model. JMHO, Ian.

Fleck may be overly bearish but he's still got a job. This suggests that he is somehow making money. I've been net short since 7/16/99 and have made huge gains shorting specific stocks, even on up days (e.g., I'm way short and up ~10 % today). best... LIG
