I agree 100%.

As a long-term investor (and in a perfect world), of course I would prefer to know what is going on with the company I'm investing in...both good and bad.

But given the choice between: (a) ANCR announcing the availability of a product, but not shipping until whenever, and (b) ANCR shipping a product, but not announcing it, I'd prefer option B; especially if it helps protect the company's competitive position or is governed by a NDA. I find the whole "Company XYZ announces new product, anticipated ship date...March 2003" very frustrating because the ship dates always slip and the only real intention of these releases is to throw FUD into potential customer's purchases of competitor's products.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Seems to me that a certain competitor of Brocade (or is it BROCADE now as Keylabs puts it?) took a lot of heat for this type of behavior. Did ANCR ever sell a switch through ay of those resellers? My personal feeling is that someone (in Brocade vs. ANCR) is WAY wrong, and someone, somewhere along the line is going to lose a heck of a lot of money investing in one of these companies. Let's just say I like my chances at this point.

Which reminds me, where the heck is my check from the proceeds of the lawsuit against ANCR?

Is this a great country or what when you can garner a 4-bagger on a stock and still take part in a lawsuit against that company because you "lost money" on it?
