The saints I proposed were Albert Schweitzer & Martin Luther King; the Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa were Bill Vaughn's nominees (although I would vote for the Lama). I don't think they came up through the bureaucratic R.C. process.

And I thought I made clear I did not think "saints" had to be "sinless," even though in the R.C. understanding (which is not mine), they are expected to be.

What I said is that mankind in general has a thirst for "saints." It follows, therefore, that Roman Catholics are not the only people in the world who revere them.
