I am being told that Merrill is using Knight and that that accounts for the sudden rise in volume starting 10/21 and for the average daily volume increase thereafter. My broker says the avenues between MER and NITE are open for business. My broker thinks these volume increases through MER is more important than most investors think. He also maintains 'new' kinds of business previously not available to NITE are now available. I have no elaboration on that. For what its worth.... Can anyone confirm that MER is using NITE for trades?
