Mark,

The "last mile" communications will connect small businesses and homes with connections such as cable modems and DSL modems. This area is growing at a tremendous rate but it will still take time.

This morning my DSL connection is experiencing "technical difficulties". So I am back on a dial-up 56K modem and am in a living hell. Trying to download information I normally do in less than 30 seconds takes forever. The point is that you can't go back. People will demand broadband once they've seen it or tried it. This will continue to create demand for storage, unless you believe we will store all this online somewhere. If I had all my files out in cyberspace today, I would be unable to work. Is the savings from a $200 disk drive worth a lost days work? Not to me!!
