You've got to be kidding? Harkin or Tsongas? They may be the "teat" constituency but they aren't brain dead. They wanted to win.... OTOH, upon reflection, his plurality may actually speak better of the American people than I thought. Remember it was "the economy stupid" and the "new democrat" lie that made him electable in the first place. Considering the continuous media drumbeat of the Bush "recession" and unemployment fears it's amazing he didn't have an actual majority. Perhaps we should give the voters more credit.... bp
