Ratan: Alteon is not desi though one of their senior executive is one of the boys. I still has a few shares I got from the IPO.Looks like the market believes Foundry is a better value than Alteon, for one thing Foundry is growing much faster than Alteon, I think Alteon may be the second banana in the segment, this is the feeling I get.

I don't know if it is such a good idea to sell property in India to get into 'nuts', I hear Indian property market is poised to come back some,saw a report the other day by one of them fancy foreign real-estate firms.

As vice president of Engineering, Dr. Sathaye has full responsibility for all product and technology development programs at Alteon Networks.

With over 12 years of internetworking experience, Dr. Sathaye has extensive expertise in both the software and hardware aspects of high-speed switch development including ASIC design, software engineering and hardware architecture.

Prior to Alteon Networks, Dr. Sathaye was product group director for Fore Systems' Enterprise ATM Switching Group. There he led the development and release of a number of Fore's ATM switch products.

Previous to Fore Systems, Dr. Sathaye spent eight years with Digital Equipment Corporations in both the Semiconductor Operations and Network Business Units.
