Hi DORO!

you said:"Maybe that's also related to whether or not one is doing fairly well & since about May (ouch) my equity has been making lower highs & lower lows. (Am still ahead for the year)"

Actually i have a quiet similiar equity curve with a quick rise until may and then a plateau. Unlike you- who is in a hopefully only slight downtrend- i just went flat(congestion area with very low ADX!!) mainly because i limited my risk also dramatically when i felt that i was trading without concept. I try to get back to a more systematic(rule oriented) setup which cuts on my impulsive trading. But that's not easy. Hopefully we have a more stable period in the market which suits more my temperament. Last year i got so scared after October that i quit trading completely and missed all the great gains because that fear was so deep in me that i always feared a pullback the next day that never came. This time i'm less bruised from the experience and more likely ready to profit from the opportunities.
BUT i still have a funny feeling about the market. Something deep inside bugs me about it and i don't trust the market at all...
Clint will say: forget about that fear and just buy. It's a runaway day...but so far i just can't!I think i will wait until next week until all of this is a little more digested. Yes i will loose opportunities but i'd rather sacrifice upside potential to protect myself...

OK, gotta go to my part time day job...
