i didn't see the event this past week with rose. but i agree with you. and think about that. rose was part of the phillies team that finally won the series. so i had every reason to think he was great. and i still just couldn't handle him. maybe like ty cobb, you had to admire his skills and perhaps his drive, but he was just a little too much.

I'll never forget the night Rose's 44 game hitting streak ended. In the locker room, he was complaining to reporters that Braves relievers were pitching to him like "it was Game 7 of the World Series". He apparently wanted the Braves to concede him a hit so that he could get his name in the record books. The incredible thing about it is that Rose is the one who destroyed Ray Fosse's career by running him over in an exhibition game.
