They weren't electing him to be f-ing president of the Beta club. His personal life is irrelevant to his performance on the field. Ty Cobb was the most hated man in baseball- from what I've read. If you got in his way he would run your ass over and spit on you as he went by. It didn't f-ing keep him out.

You've obviously never played competitive baseball or you would have a little more respect for Pete Rose the Player. That's all I'm going to say on the matter.
