<Checked out the Intel analyst presentation for today. Pretty ho-hum.>

What! I thought the Register predicted that Intel would announce Willamette was shipping. In fact, that's probably why there is such a short supply of Cumine...all the Willamettes are clogging the channel. I'm sure Pauleron and the other Intellabees are disappointed.

Chuck - RE: "Checked out the Intel analyst presentation for today. Pretty ho-hum."

Since you didn't say anything about it, I guess Intel didn't announce Willamette. ;)

Did Intel say anything about the lack of CUNever-Mind availability from small companies?

Chuckles - Re: "Checked out the Intel analyst presentation for today. Pretty ho-hum"

You did read the Intel slide that showed TIMNA set for H2/2000 introduction, didn't you ?

I think it was slide No. 49 that said:

Timna* in 2H'00… "highly integrated CPU with great perf. & features for low end PCs"

Remember that Timna, Chuckles ?

The Timna that you said wouldn't make it to market ?

Any idea why Intel would present such a slide to the Wall Street Analysts if Intel wasn't going to market Timna ?
