Sooner or later, the good news for Dell will pay off again.

I agree, but question just when. I think later than sooner. Here's why: Although DELL is growing fast and eating market share, it doesn't really matter since margins have decreased significantly. The same has happened to INTC. This is why INTC has started spending it's billions on new biz - networking. DELL has started to do this as well, but seems to be fragmenting into biz which does not necessarily fit with selling PC's. Gigabuys? Ok, so Gigabuys sells computer stuff... does DELL wanna become the electronic version of CompUSA? If so, fine, but again, slim margins. What is with Dellnet? Why? Do they want to become Yahoo? I really don't get Dellnet and figure it will fail within 1 year.

How does a box manufacturer continue to grow. I contend that it keeps doing what it does best: sell more boxes. Sell big boxes - disk arrays, sell mobile boxes - electronic books, sell tiny boxes - p/pc, sell mobile computers - autoPCs, sell smart phones - inet phones. Sell kitchen/refridgerator computing things (whatever they are). Sell more desktops but make 'em sexy. Stop letting Apple be the innovator! Let's get with it Michael!!!! Sell any and everything that has (or should have;-) a CPU, memory and an operating system. Sell settop boxes for crying out loud!!!!!

Ok, I'm better.
