Like everyone else I am ofcourse delighted to hear of the split today. I am long AOL and have been so for well over 1 year. However, I would still caution for all the high 5s, happy dances, back pats et al as the price may be moved by:

- overall market direction

- Y2K overhang

- rate jitters w.r.t. upcoming FOMC

- holiday shopping season (everybody is expecting a big bang, but has this been priced in already)

- disappointing results for other Nets.

Having said all of this, I think we have gone enough with AOL this year already and like most other members of this board, would love to see the price move up to 100 range (post-split), which seems to be a natural convergence range for AOL.

Patience sure pays off! Once it splits and no. of shares double, AOL will start to trade @ $ 65 and will easily climb to $ 100 by next spring. One of my better investments. I averaged about $ 90 a share, by buying steadily during the "dog days" when AOL was stalling in the two digits! Happy trading you all!
