JFD, I agree 100% with your assessment of Sherlund comments. At least they are now out of the way and we can hopefully move higher.

JFD, I keep flip/flopping on when to get into MSFT in a big way. It is a gamble ---risk is just having dead money. The potential is there for a big upside but much investing is done based on momentum. I am having a hard time seeing this momentum until Jackson says something or as we get closer to Y2K.

It might be a problem for people who big gains in the stock and don't want to pay taxes but those who have money in retirement plans such 401k, can trade in and out easily---as soon as they see momentum jump aboard.

Tough short term decisions. I like momentum and might stick with stocks that show it holding only a small core position of 5% to 10%. This is unusual for me---i used to hold a minimum of 50%. Still planning on getting to about 30% at least but timing is the biggest issue for me. Are there other attractive investment opportunities in the short term is the decision to be made.
