99% of Indians grew up in India for the past few hundred years without seeing a British. Those Indians never lost their independent mind, no matter who ruled them.

Huh???? Looks like at least one of them has completely lost his mind!<g>

JPR:

My prediction on Pakistan:

Musharaff will order a referendum on his rule. He is popular and will get a verdict to continue as CE. This is concocted democracy, but is better than Shariff's monarchical form, at least in the eyes of Pakis. Musharaff will sign on the LOC as the international boarder with India. They were trying to have a better bargaining position through Kargil, but failed. It is called learning by experimentation, and misery after failure. Musharaff knows he cannot perpetuate misery in Pakistan and the only avenue left is to seek peace with India. Clinton will visit both India and Pakistan and declare the two feuding brothers as friends. Musharaff, Vajpayee and Clinton will get the Nobel Peace Prize! <G>
