Just get rid of all that "swadeshi" crap, and let the American tell Indians what to do. If they just go and work for him, they should do a whole lot better than what they did on their own.

I have no problems with Americans helping Indians. They are coming by the plane-loads anyway,& obviously they must have a reason. Are Americans coming to India out of generosity? Or it suits their business needs. We need their technology but not the culture. We will keep the swadeshi spirit and YOU keep the crap. Just don't overstate the importance and it will work in the reverse. We will take what is good and let you keep all the crap. Also it is not a good image for the Americans to take over something and run it --sounds like neocolonialism.

It remains to be seen how many "swadeshi" fruitcakes there are in the BJP, and how the two sides get along in the future after this.

There are fruitcakes everywhere. Have you seen the unhooded KKK fruitcakes in NYC recently. They were there in your TV images. There were about a dozen or so ready for a march and there were protestors by the thousands cutting across racial and color lines. How about the fruit cakes in the Aryan Nation? Won't you think that there are extreme elements in every country?
