It depends on the persons definition of what a scam is. By my definition I would guess that the percent of companies that trade on the BB and are scams is less than the 90% that I hear about but over 75%. The nonreporting companies are probably over 95% scams.

Like Daniel said before there are some people that won't know it is a scam so if that's the way a person wants to invest then I say go for it. It does bother me to see people perpetuating lies about companies for their own benefit without regard to the ones that buy in too late and end up stuck while the crooks get rich.

edit...... Oh I forgot to add, I said the $5 and under category contains microcaps and scams, I didn't mean to imply they were all scams.
