Dave:
Both distributors have online ordering systems. Tech data posts the quantities on order. An Ingram sales rep is providing me with similar information over phone, for example Ingram commented today that RIMM sku's are starting to appear in his system. No updated status on anything else. I have a feeling that some OEM's and clone vendors are giving lip service to RDRAM based solutions and others are overcomitting to RDRAM based solutions depending on how close they are with Intel. I have been getting the feeling that Dell, HP, Supermicro and Gigabyte are solidly behind RDRAM based solutions. Other OEM like CPQ and IBM have not presented leaked any ads in trade press or web site pages. I just don't have a good feel for when and more importantly how much RDRAM based products to look for. So I have to underplay any possibility of royalties this quarter. I get the feeling that Dell still has majority of RDRAM's locked up tight. That must be the reason that they look somewhat willing to advertise systems on web site without being able to sell because of Intel non-announcement of 820 chipset. However, where is the 840 product and when will we see systems. Intel publically introduced the chipset and Outrigger mobo MON.
