steve, Yes indeed, Intel arrogantly took thei eyes off the ball and assumed the Athlon was a piece of bad work. AMD fostered that viewpoint by leaking early samples of the Athlon that were deficient to people who would allow intel to see they were not too hot, while the real ones were perfected. The bad part of this is they caught the mobo makers offside, and the good part is Intel was blindsided.
With the copperminus the last gasp of an aging architecture it will soon be left in the dust by the Athlon and it's progeny.
