SLR's planned takeover of CUBE's neighbor, SMOD, used about that metric...2xsales or 37xearnings. Meanwhile, SMOD's technology is ground chuck compared to CUBE's filet so it's a useless benchmark but reflects a rock-bottom comp. Boy these analysts are frightening! They never really understood DiviCube, now they can't figure out this deal.

One thing is clear, the market is ignoring Erika and her new best friend, B-S. We need some major table-pounding here, guys. Is there a single analyst out there who really understands the value here? Who's the digital-semi Ax these days?

Tonights take from briefing.com....
"
C-Cube Microsystems (CUBE 43 13/16 +3 7/16) rallied on news Harmonic Lightwave
(HLIT) was acquiring CUBE's Divicom division for $1.7 bln in stock... As part of the deal,
CUBE agreed to sell rest of its divisions... Given that company had a market cap of $1.6 bln prior
to the announcement, Thursday's gains were surprising only in how small they were...
Apparently, street doesn't think much of the rest of CUBE's business."
