I wonder if we're talking about the same thing. We have large Iris here, in all colors, the Van Gogh type Irises, and two of the world's largest growers are right here. They do the purple drip, I believe. But I am not sure. (Per usual.)

The smaller iris, I thought Japanese, is only a couple inches in bloom size, and half the foliage size, sometimes variegated. The only color bloom here is blue, deep blue with a white marking, and much thinner petals than the other. Many people originally mistake these for a wild orchid, but of course orchids don't grow here, except indoors.

I'm going to see if the companies are on line. A large one is Cooley's Gardens.

It doesn't matter which these are, but if the smaller (miniature we sometimes call them) "orchid-like" one comes in colors, I'd like them.
