I think I know where this conclusion comes from. In the original press release ( news.cnet.com ), third paragraph, it says:

"2000 should be a fairly eventful year for Intel."

and then proceeds with IXA network processors and Itanium roadmaps. Then, 2 more paragraphs later, it says:

"At the end of the year, the company has said that it will come out with Willamette"...

continuing the list of events for 2000 and evidently refering to the end of the year 2000. But, to the casual reader, it might as well refer to the end of this year! What do you think?
