Elmer - RE: "For blasting mutant Aliens the Athlon is the best. However for integer operations it is well behind the Coppermine."

At 700MHz, the AThlon is faster than a 700MHz Coppermine in these benchmarks from Tom's and Anand's reviews. (Some are the same benchmarks.)

These are the bencmarks in which Coppermine 700 is faster than Athlon 700

BOTH those two benchmarks are in which Coppermine 700 wins are "blasting mutant Aliens" games!

Really? Anandtech disagrees (so does Tom's, but you have personal issues with Tom right now, so I won't bring it up--though his site can still probably be considered the most respectable independent benchmarking site), and they've gone so far as to benchmark the Athlon 700 against the nonexistent Coppermine 733 with i820. As you can see, the Athlon is the integer performance winner, even though the Coppermine still has a 33 Mhz advantage.

Since it's clear you have no argument with the Athlon's clear floating point superiority, I won't even bother to show you those benchmarks.

Face it Elmer.... AMD Athlon remains the fastest processor on the planet--and the gap will only widen.
