Below double line is paste From Sandpiper Investment page at their site:
sandpiper.com

Aol just announced split and is one of sandpiper/isld customers for broadband/fast network traffic technology. akam is tied to microsoft about which bloomberg, early this morning, reported analyst concerns about MSN going forward.

No spam intended, just a question. Is Sandpiper/ISLD combination worth significantly less than AKAM's valuation which will become clear today???

To answer this question, I Urge thread members to post comparitive information about the two which may clarify their relative valuation regardless of the value street gives to AKAM today.

===============================================

Sandpiper has raised over $28 million in two rounds of private financing.

May 1998 - $6.6 million

Brentwood Venture Capital
Media Technology Ventures
Mission Ventures

May 1999 - $21.5 million

Attractor Investment Management (lead investor)
America Online
National Broadcasting Corporation, Inc.
Inktomi
Bayview Investors (an affiliate of BankBoston Robertson Stephens)
Brentwood Venture Capital
Eagle New Media Investment (an investment affiliate of the Times-Mirror
Company)
Hambrecht & Quist (through its affiliated fund, Access Technology Partners)
Media Technology Ventures
Mission Ventures

In addition to receiving financing from AOL and Inktomi, Sandpiper formed strategic alliances with both companies. And our strategy of partnering with key customers led directly to the investment by the Times Mirror Company, parent company of the Los Angeles Times, one of our earliest clients.
