ct, RE: Didn't you find it strange that MSFT and INTC are to be added to the Dow and both stocks are downgraded? They brought the prices down didn't they, just before they had to be bought. Now they can buy and then upgrade. I laughed the other morning when I heard about INTC. I said that MSFT would be next. Sure enough by the time I got to work it had been downgraded too.

Not a single analyst has downgraded either stock since they were added to the Dow. One analyst reduced his estimates for INTC but reiterated his 'buy' recommendation. The only thing that has happened since MSFT was added was 2 analysts reiterated their 'buy' recommendations with no change in estimates.

As usual, the conspiracy theories have no basis in fact.
