shank, one of the books I highly recommend for reading is by John Murphy, Technical Analysis of the Futures Markets.. Murphy has written several other good books as well... I remember John Murphy on CNBC several months ago saying, "I no longer do technical analysis on the gold market, since it is no longer a free market." Why didn't I listen to John? I hit myself over the head for missing a reversal that should have been in gold, and I guess in reality it is not my fault...The technicals called for a reversal, but one can't stop central bank manipulation, if they want to depress gold, they can do it, even though technicals say there should be a bounce...
