If we are going to use maturity of thought process as a criteria for suffrage we should raise the age to thirty for women and 65 (at least) for men. -g-

I'm glad you cleared that up. At age 18, I magically am endowed with the power of reason. Look, I don't need this. I am more aware of current events than most people you'll meet. I actually have reasons why I think what I do. The fact that I am engaged in a political/philosphical discussion like this makes me more qualified to vote than most of the electorate.
