No to your second question. Nonetheless, I am confident that it is an issue with your browser cache of recently visited URL's. I apologize for using the overly broad term "browser cache". There is more than just the disk cache of files.

As an example, if you click on Jill's profile, her most recent post (4/15/99) would appear as having not having been read by you.

If Jill were to make a "phantom" post on a non-public thread (e.i. one that can't be seen by us outsiders), your bookmark of her would show a new message, yet her profile would look just as it does now, with the 4/15/99 post appearing to be unread by you, even though you may have read it months ago. If you click on it, it will be registered in your browser's visited URL cache, but will eventually roll out of there given enough time or activity (dependent on browser and settings).

BTW, I'm only trying to help you understand why you are perceiving "On occasion a previously viewed post by SI Administrators that I have bookmarked, will show up as new.". It is not the old message that is showing up as new but rather a phantom post that you can't see. As sure as you are that it is not your browser, I am equally confident that it is.

Regards,

David
