is to add one million GSM lines to the Saudi Arabian network will
submit their tenders at the weekend, an industry official in the
kingdom said on Monday. "We are going to submit our tender on
Saturday morning. All companies will be submitting their tenders
on Saturday," one industry source whose company is involved in the
bidding told Reuters. The Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC)
in September extended the bid deadline by one month to October 30.
LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES INC, ALCATEL, Siemens, ERICSSON TELEPHONE,
MOTOROLA INC, NOKIA CORP and NORTEL NETWORKS CORP are vying for
