As a matter of interest what do you know about Ted Butler - and why do you think that his contribution is 'noteworthy'- in your words? d

I think the reason why Ted Butler's Pandora's Box was so "cogent and cohesive" and "SO dead-on, AND well-written AND DAMNED PRESCIENT!!!" was that it probably has had more editing than usual (unaided/?aided?) this time around. Besides, Ted Butler was introducing his advisory service (see details at butlerresearch.com) and therefore it was vital to present a polished/refined and "particularly noteworthy" piece to create a favorable impression on would-be subscribers.

Perhaps (and this is stretching it somewhat) the joy, thrill, the inspiration/gnosis he experienced in realizing he had proven himself right had propelled him to a higher level of writing ability----the ability to write with punch and precision!

P.S. Oyez! Ed Yardeni is still confident that a recession will hit come Y2K time. He and Gary North share the same view that Y2K will not be a single event but a systemic problem. GN expects cascading cross-defaults in global bank system in 1st qtr; also erroneous transfer of
erroneous will render inter-bank accounts impossible to settle etc....
with dire consequences for many.

Hi Ole 49r!

Nice to hear from you. Thank you for the very *kind* words!!!

I also enjoy Ted Butler's work........it will be interesting to see how things play out in the gold & silver markets.

What is your handle at Kitco? I don't remember seeing you over there. I tend to spend more time there than at SI......

While I drift off topic, do you follow the uranium market at all? Another interesting market with a massive supply/production deficit......I like ERA & PDN in Oz......haven't been able to get any PDN shares though (very thinly traded).

Wishing you continued success & happiness,

THC
