ZO, I'm not saying its obvious. And I have reviewed LU's patents personally. But its a fact that ASND payed for them.

As for why NN did not license before, I have no clue. They may feel they have a case that these ATM patents of LU are really unenforceable. One thing is certain. They are going up against a company that is very skilled in extracting from other companies what they feel is rightfully theirs.

You don't go to trial if you're not sure of your position.

Right now ECI's suing TI and TI said, Fine, take us to court. If ECI had a leg to stand on both sides would have settled. As it is, ECI has so much to gain they're willing to feed their lawyers for a long time.

I suspect it's the same with LU.
