Why not? If someone else is spinning the line you want, use it. Appearance of third party confirmation and when things blow up you can point to the third party and like the classic con, say you were duped, too.

Have you talked privately with Anthony@Pacific? He may be able to shed some light, although he is probably scared to death and wouldn't peep a word.

Was there not a Latin American connection between the co. the SEC was investigating involving Lehman and his partner and another penny stock "venture" to provide Internet access to Latin American countries? I wonder if any Latins got screwed?

The Russians are not the only ones who settle their financial differences violently. There could be a Latin American connection.

As far as the cell phones, it's possible the men were trying to prove their "innocence" to the hitmen by making phone calls. It would be interesting to see their phone records.
