Thean,

Vindication time, indeed. I wrote them yesterday, Nov 55's. Yesterday, I sold a covered ratio, 3 short for every 2 owned long.

Then today comes, and north we go again. So for additional long hedge, bought a little common today. Now my ratio is 1.25 short to 1 owned long. That's livable. Not big exposure in case TXCC continues to explode upside and goes over 55 in 3 weeks (which would be a 26% gain on the stock alone).

This is definitely a short covering rally, too. This isn't all long by itself. Who knows how much longer this will go on. This is a big springback.

JDSU is more a problem for me. I wrote some covered to partially hedge the earnings, but I should have known better with this stock..... What an animal. I bought some stock for my son on September 11 at 111. Need I say more (now it's 170). I'm breathless.

CNXT: I wanted it to go up, but wanted you on the train, too. I'm sorry you sold, but I also sold that trading lot at 84 3/8 yesterday (bought at 80 7/8), leaving 10 points on the table myself!! GALT doesn't appear to be the candidate to make up that kind of move. PMCS or AMCC is, though. Even RFMD is doing well and VTSS is moving well, too. TER is up and so is AMKR. In other words...like I said: I put up my sail at precisely the right time. Luck counts in this game.

Regards Thean.

Steve

PS: Welcome back DOC. Don't think I forgot to contact you. I haven't.

Interwoven, Vignette, Broadvision are the most known. IWOV and VIGN have been slugging it out for several years with no true leader emerging. Each has advantages/disadvantages. I like IWOV from the perspective that VIGN has been publically traded longer, IWOV having IPOed within the last several weeks. Market awareness and the end of the quiet period may help.

The article Doc posted a few messages back is a good primer and also mentions Accrue.

As for the financials, this isn't a sector I can speak to.... I am sitting on FMFK hoping to see some movement soon.
