Info on TPCS and DRTN from Red Herring. TPCS sounds especially attractive at these levels ...

THURSDAY THRILLERS
Data Return, a provider of Internet hosting services, and Triton PCS, a wireless personal communications services firm, are two offerings scheduled to be priced Wednesday evening for Thursday's trading. Data Return is currently viewed as Hot, while Triton is seen as Red Hot.

Based in Arlington, Texas, Data Return reported three-month sales of $1.2 million for its quarter ended June 30, versus sales of $1.9 million for the full year ended March 30, 1999.

In reading Triton's U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings, the name of another provider of wireless personal communications jumps out: Airgate PCS (Nasdaq: PCSA), which priced four weeks ago at $17 a share. Airgate's stock is now selling near its recent high of $54.25, up 219 percent from its offering price. Both companies compete in the southeastern United States, but there's a difference -- Triton reported six-month revenues of more than $38 million
for the period ended June 1999, versus zero revenue for a year ago, and the company has more than 78,000 subscribers. Airgate, on the other hand, has no revenues and plans to launch its services in the first quarter of 2000. Any wonder why Redherring.com's Street Poll is reading Triton as a Red Hot deal?
