Paul, re: "That would make Intel completing two strategic business "inflections" before most of the analysts grasp the first "inflection"."

Let me make a prediction. The analysts are pretty well locked out of downgrading or cutting earnings on Intel's core business performance, at least for the near term. I bet one of these guys, in the near future, will downgrade/cut estimates because of the new enterprises, probably a gross margin concern, or an execution concern.

The analysts can't just sit on their hands as far as Intel is concerned, the usual suspects are raking their brains right now, looking for the cloud around the silver lining.

Paul, re: completing two strategic business "inflections"

Since it is the end of October, hasn't Intel just completed one of their major planning cycles? This may have given "The Street" and the rest of us a very early glimpse of the future. Granted, the timing is great given all the speculation that has been going on for weeks ... but this is IMO part of the regular Plan process.

It shouldn't take long for the street to understand/embrace Intel's inflections ... Intel is doing an excellent job in education!
