No, haven't been following Akamai. It will be interesting to see where the market cap tops out compared to Sycamore. That's my new yardstick for these things. SCMR had 77.1 million shares post-offering and got to 270-7/8, for a market cap of 20.9 billion. AKAM will have 90.4 million shares out (assuming 8.0 million offered), so it must hit 231 to match Sycamore. Should we expect anything less? I am following Cobalt Networks (COBT), scheduled for November 1. Van Wagoner Micro-Cap Fund owns ~100,000 shares at 3.70 per share, so that fund should get a boost from it. The fund charter allows venture investments; Ariba and several others have already gone public this year. WT
