HouseHold Direct.com Announces Acquisition and Partnership Plan to Support
Additional New Web Site Initiatives

SOUTHBURY, Conn., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- HouseHold Direct.com
householddirect.com (OTC Bulletin Board: BYIT). In a move designed
to expand content and functionality to the new version of the HouseHold
Direct.com Web Site, the Company announced today that it acquired
Megappliance.com on September 9, 1999. The acquisition of the site,
relationships and contracts; and, assets including hardware and software, was
accomplished by using restricted stock with a benchmark valuation of one
dollar per share, for a total of 350,000 shares.
The Megappliance.com site is engineered to provide comparison-shopping
features for all major brand name appliance products, and was originally
intended to directly support the E-commerce efforts of the major
manufacturers.
HouseHold Direct will incorporate some of the site features into its own
shopping portal, and also to improve the business support efforts of America's
Home Town Brand Center (AHBC). This new enhanced service platform, which
allows the display of product prices at several levels, will assist the
expansion of AHBC's distribution services to the retail business community.
An additional benefit to HouseHold Direct.com and it's members is that AHBC
already has distribution agreements with the major brand appliance
manufacturers. This combination will streamline and further advance the
ability of HouseHold Direct to support the membership growth plan. Currently
AHBC provides over $20 million in purchasing and product fulfillment services
for over 200 retails store locations nationwide.
The Company intends to use this web-based service platform as a means to
expand its affinity membership to consumers and members who are utilizing the
physical locations of other organizations. This effort will add significant
additional revenue opportunities for the Company as a fee-based service
provider to traditional distribution businesses and membership based
organizations.
In addition, the Company will act as a cost-plus business model as a means
of delivering new shopping content in partnership with other providers.
