interesting teeter-totter you built :) cool is the concept of beating indicies on 'decay' i guess shorting on the otherside simultaneously might give a hedge the battle between the portals will be similar to the oil companies ologpolistic, feigning competition, trying to drive up demand by 'poaching' on current markets (PSTN, VPN's, Television) have to think about this a little further thank you very much for the detailed reply regards, ynot :)

MG, Thanks for the Insight! I believe that this is one of the most educational posts I've ever read. It could make a book in its own right! I had this magic line for the DJIA at about 10,682. When it failed today, I first thought does it even matter? However, I believe it is probably even more important that the new components couldn't hold the line. The bigger issue is that I keep looking at that big gap on the OEX and got to feel that it is going to be filled. In any case, another explosive rally that a position trader had to just stand aside.
