I'm hearing Steve McNair is returning as QB for the Titans...s/b an interesting matchup for running backs, Faulk & George...Tenn. coming off a bye week...but the Rams know how to score points...

The Titans are physical up front on offense, and have big backfield players in George and McNair. Is McNair at 90% better than O'Donell at 100%? Anyway, the Tennessee front line is the biggest test so far for the undersized Rams' defense. It appears George might finally be on track, but Tenn will probably be playing tit-for-tat against the Rams' offense. It should be a shootout, maybe the Rams' only loss this year. There's a chance it could be a super bowl preview.

There is a more distant chance that Sea-GB is also a super bowl preview.

The game probably hinges on the new center, Chris Gray. Glover is out for the season with a blood clot in his lung. That's a tough loss because last week Glover handled Ted Washington of Buffalo nicely. If Gray steps up and plays at that kind of level, it should be a great game.

I like the Seahawks' defense and the Green Bay offense although Kitna may come out throwing and try to "out Favre Favre." I'm actually hoping for an "air assault" this week because I'm not convinced the running game is going to click early for the 'Hawks.

On the other hand, if the Seahawks finally do manage to get over 4 yards a carry on those middle runs, they should be unbeatable.

OT: Marcus Tuiasosopo of the Washington Huskies became the first player in NCAA history to run for over 200 yards and pass for over 300. He was something like 19-30 for 310 yards and 2 ints and a td, and 22 carries for 205 yards or something like that.

Stanford went for the pitch man and Marcus ran free on the option.

The Huskies are 4-1 (5-3 overall) in the pac-10 (ok,ok.. no tomatoes or rotten fruit please) and may be headed for the rose bowl.

A lot of us were hoping for 7-4 before the season start and 6-5 after the opening loss to BYU. 5-3 is just fine so far...
