Unisys Chairman Weinbach on IBM, New Products: Company Comment

Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, Oct. 29 (Bloomberg) -- The
following are comments by Unisys Corp. Chairman and Chief
Executive Larry Weinbach on computer-services competitor
International Business Machines Corp. and Unisys's new Internet
software, services and computers.

``Our big difference from IBM is that we're more focused'
on particular markets. ``We also have repeatable solutions --
75 percent packaged software, 25 percent customized...With these
solutions, you can reduce the risk and cost.'

With new Internet software ``we take you from end to
end...the customers can decide what they want from Unisys. They
can either have the buffet or take the fixed price (on a full
package of software).'

On hopes for new mainframe based on Intel Corp. computer
chips: ``We're going to show the world that we're ready for prime
time...we need to have some big (customer) wins by the end of
2000.'

On changes to the sales force: ``We're going to have a
(unified) sales force supported by technical expertise.'

``We do not intend other than to expand the sales force over
time.'
