This kind of stuff is not at all unusual and the way some of these guys make money. Shorting stocks is fine, however, I disdain people who take short positions and then proceed to defeat a stock offering twisted and irrelevant analysis. In contrast, others and this will probably be the case here, the guy will take a long position and then proclaim that it's looking very oversold, etc. Few others understand FC and the Internet Business but, what really strikes me as odd in this situation is that Brocade appears to have had the Keylabs test results biased in their favor and David Rocker may or may not have been aware of that.
