Hey, here's Fowler's way of announcing China (from the conference call):

"In the access control division, as I mentioned before, we've completely changed the distribution model. With the prices that we have now, we've actually, as demonstrated in the financials, increased gross margin and built in the flexibility to have a three-tier pricing structure so that we can finally sell these things the way they should be sold, which is through manufacturer's reps and dealers and distributors, because those kinds of access control decisions are all made locally, and the dealers and distributors are involved in those decisions - not on a national basis. In that division, we've built up quite a bit of -- we had the country fully covered by dealers and manufacturer's reps and we've added about 12 or 13 additional partners for getting the IT products out, and some of those are international partners, for getting the product out."

==================

Did you see that "international partners" phrase flash by? That was it. That was the announcement.

Scanner Sales at just under 250,000

Alan Adler: You quoted this 100,000 orders number for a while. What did that change over the last quarter?

Randall Fowler: Are you talking about the DFR 200 that was going through Compaq and Key Tronic and Cherry?

Alan Adler: Yeah.

Randall Fowler: It's probably something on the order of a quarter-million units, I think, now. Isn't it?

Grant Evans: Yes. Somewhere around there. Probably a little slightly less.
You've got a product in various stages. We only shipped them (rural) modules or what we call REM modules - component label technology. And they take and they put it in their manufacturing facility so there's (rural) components sitting in the facility. Then you've got roll-off products sitting at their warehouse and finished goods and then you've got finished products sitting at distribution channels, so it's difficult to tell how fast the product is moving out, but we do know it continues to move because we continue to get calls from distributions looking for the server element. So that's all good news.
