Andrew, it could be...consider the 12% decline in home sales. like i have conjectured earlier, the bottom could all of a sudden fall out of the economy, similar to '29. both households and corporations have a record high level of debt to contend with...both in absolute and relative terms. it could be that the recent downturn in consumer confidence results in a collective belt tightening out of the blue. that would sure surprise everyone, wouldn't it?
