interesting thought on private credit. i was not aware of that. when i posted the article i was thinking more in terms of retirement. i expect we will see an average lifespan of 80 years or more very soon. what on earth are people going to do, work until they die. i can't believe for a minute that the average person is not thinking of retirement in their mid to late 50's. what do they think they are going to live on. i remember doing an exercise about 10 years ago to determine how much money i would need at 50,55,60 and 65 years of age if i retired at one of those times and the type of lifestyle i wanted to live-made me look hard at and change a number of habits. i'm in my mid 40's now and would hate to think all i had was my home equity to fall back on. i mean you have to live somewhere right?
