NEON AND BROADVISION JOIN FORCES TO INTEGRATE E-BUSINESS APPLICATIONS PR NEWSWIRE - November 01, 1999 07:58 DENVER and REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov 1, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- New Era of Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEON) and BroadVision, Inc. (Nasdaq: BVSN) today announced the formation of a strategic alliance to enable businesses to integrate existing systems with Internet applications to perform business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) e-Business. The companies will use NEON's e-Biz Integrator to integrate BroadVision's web-based One-to-One(TM) Commerce solutions with applications such as Oracle(R), SAP, PeopleSoft(R), Siebel(R) and legacy systems. BroadVision's line of One-to-One Commerce solutions allows companies to market and sell products over the Internet via highly personalized web-based communication with prospects and customers. When implemented, these e-Business applications need to inter-operate with existing operational systems, such as order entry and inventory management. For instance, orders placed by customers using BroadVision may use SAP R/3 for fulfillment and billing. In the past, creating the necessary links between applications has been a time-consuming, risky and error-prone custom programming task. NEON e-Biz Integrator eliminates the need for custom integration coding by supplying an out-of-the-box software solution that provides tight integration between BroadVision and operational systems, such as ERP packages, custom and legacy applications. "NEON's e-Biz Integrator will enable quick integration of BroadVision's One-to-One Commerce solutions with enterprise software applications," said Dr. Eric Golin, chief technical officer of BroadVision. "The combination of NEON and BroadVision will further enable our customers to provide the best possible experience for their customers."
