Dear Ish: I agree the Cherokee is far more manueverable in off road situations but on the long hill climbs I found the Grand C. with its weight distribution and all to actually outperform them all. If you do decide to join Jeep Jamborees you must have tow hooks front and rear (trailer hitch counts as tow hook) and I HIGHLY recommend skid plates and rocker rails. I dont have rocker rails but after this trip intend to get them. Good news, I was able to buff out all the scratches from the sides of my Grand C. yesterday. JDN
