Nancy.. No I look back on my growth as a Christian I see that I thought I knew what a verse meant according to my "OVER VIEW" or Presuppositions . However as I learned more I began to see the verses as they really were and not what I thought they were. I was wrong originally. I just posted using the milk and meat analogy and then I read yours. :-} Paul say the MILK is the basics of the faith. I think a lot of people move on to meat with a wrong precept of the basics.. this happened to me and that is why I am so adament about the basics. Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit. No I do not agree that scripture changes in meaning I do agree the eyes of our understanding open very slowly.
